Ford 427 SOHC Engine
Product Description
To compete with the Chrysler Hemi in 1964, Ford secretly developed an overhead
cam version of the high performance FE block, the legendary 427 SOHC. The
engine has become known as the Cammer. The 427 SOHC was virtually built by
hand, and its hemispherical combustion chambers and overheard cams transformed
the 427 wedge into a serious power plant. Factory ratings were 615 hp @ 7000
rpm with single 4-barrel, and 657 hp @ 7500 with dual carburetors. The engine
weighs 680 lbs. This detailed 1/18th scale replica is about 2.5" tall on
its base. The engine features multi-colored parts with Ford decals on the base.
