These are truly one of a kind models!</p><p><span class="tinymcetext">The Lexus LF line is a series of concept cars built by Lexus, the luxury vehicle division of Toyota Motor Corporation. The "LFA" refers to Lexus "F" series Apex. <br />The project began in 2000. The intention was for Toyota to compete in Formula One (Grand Prix racing) the exotic sports-car world alongside Ferrari, Lamborghini and Porsche. The first ever supercar from Lexus was developed by a group of handpicked engineers. With nearly 10 years of development, the 2011 Lexus LFA finally made its debut at the end of 2010. class="tinymcetext"><br />The Lexus LFA at $375.000 will be hand-assembled at the "Lexus LFA Works in Motomachi plant in Toyota City. Only 20 hand-bulit LFA supers will be produced each month for 25 consecutive months for a maximum of 500 LFA vehicles being made available for worldwide retail sale. Each V10 engine will be assembled by a single engineer, and will bear his signature as testament to each Lexus's bespoke status. Customers can choosen from 30 exterior colors, six brake caliper colors and 12 interior colors for each class="tinymcetext"><br />A specifically designed V-10 engine was developed with Yamaha to power to LFA. Engineers studied Formula 1 engines at maximum revs and tuned to V-10 to deliver the same unique and unmistakable sound. The small 4.8-liter V-10 produces 552 hp at 8,700 rpm and 354 Ib-ft of torque at 7,000 rpm, creating an astonishing output of 117 DIN hp/liter. The 4.8-liter V-10 will feature dry sump lubrication, individual throttle bodies, titanium valves and connecting rods, a magnesium alloy cylinder head cover, and a cylinder block cast in the same foundry as Toyota F1 engine class="tinymcetext"><br />The body of the Lexus LFA coupe is made from a combination of lightweight aluminum and carbon fiber. Sixty-five percent of the car is slathered in lightweight carbon fiber, bringing the total vehicle weight down to just 3,263 Ibs. The car achieves 0-60 mph in a scant 3.6 seconds - almost a whole second faster than the Mercedes-Benz SL63 model, as all of our models in MINT in the box.
