The Porsche 911 GT3 RS is a high-performance
sports car built by Porsche. As with earlier models, such as the
legendary Carrera RS 2.7 of 1973 and the Type 964 911 RS of 1991,
Porsche offered an RS version of the 997 GT3. The RS (short for the
German RennSport, which means "Motorsport" in English) is mainly a
carryover of the Porsche 911 GT3. In common with its predecessors, it
provides a homologation model for use in a range of racing series.
Thanks
to a close-ratio six-speed transmission with a single-mass flywheel and
20 kg (44 lb) lower vehicle weight, the engine revs up even more
freely, thus enabling the 911 GT3 to sprint from zero to 100 km/h (62
mph) in 4.0 seconds. That is one tenth of a second faster than the GT3.
And it takes 13.3 seconds to hit 200 km/h (124 mph). Maximum speed is
310 km/h (193 mph). One characteristic of the new RS is the body, which
is 44 mm (1.7 in) wider at the rear (a legacy from the Carrera 4 models
with which it shares its shell) by comparison with the 911 GT3. The
muscular-looking rear end conceals a wider track that not only improves
directional stability but also increase the potential cornering grip of
the two-seater coupe. On the other hand, drag is increased, and top
speed reduced. Despite its specialized body, the RS is 20 kg (44 lb)
lighter than the GT3, weighing in at 1375 kg (3031 lb). This
weight-saving was
achieved by the use, amongst other solutions, of an
adjustable carbon fiber wing, the use of a plastic engine cover and a
lightweight plastic rear window. As a consequence, the corresponding
engine power to curb weight ratio is over 300 bhp (220 kw) per tone.
In
addition to the new technology featured in this flat six motor car, the
paint scheme and body panels are all designed specially for this car.
For the RS version, the limited edition orange color was mixed specially
for this car. The other colors, black, silver and green are also

The
Shipment of Your Package
For
US Customers: we ship everything Priority Mail with Delivery
Confirmation or Fedex. This normally takes 2-3 days but in rare
cases, 1-2 weeks. You will be emailed a tracking number and it is
your responsibility as a customer to track your package(s) until they
arrive. Please contact us if you don’t receive your tracking
number. Please contact us if have not received your package within
this time frame or if you are having any trouble. Your package is
100% insured against theft/damage/loss so no worries. For
International Customers: We use USPS Express, USPS Priority, and
occasionally Fedex International (with oversized parcels) to mail
your order, and all of these services include tracking/insurance. You
will be emailed a tracking number and it is your responsibility as a
customer to track your package(s) until they arrive. For packages to
ship from the USA to your country, it normally takes 3-7 days for
Express, 7-14 days for Priority, and 3-5 days with Fedex
International. There are often delays in Customs- sometimes hours,
sometimes days, sometimes weeks. We have no control and cannot be
held responsible for delays in your country's Customs Department.
Your package may be assessed Customs taxes/duties. If you refuse to
pay the taxes assessed on your package, and the package is returned
to us, you are responsible for all shipping charges, both ways. All
International packages are automatically insured so you are always
covered 100% in case of theft/damage/loss.
Defective
Items
We
are Direct Dealers of the items we sell, and that means service
before, during, and after the sale. If you buy through us, you are
entitled to all the guarantees/warranties we get as Direct Dealers.
If the item we shipped you turns out to be defective, we will have
this replaced FREE OF CHARGE. Please contact us immediately before
making any decisions, if you receive something defective. We have a
few options and we will work with you to get your item replaced as
quickly as possible.
Damages/Lost
packages
We
inspect and package everything we sell very carefully to prevent
damage in shipment but some circumstances are beyond our control.
It is VERY RARE but sometimes items do arrive damaged, as a result of
being mishandled by the carrier. We insure everything we ship 100% so
you are covered, but it is the Buyer's responsibility to file a
Damage Report with the post office or Carrier that delivered the
package-- all of the necessary information is on the outside of the
package. This applies to all packages, within the UnitedStates
and International. We will not refund payments unless we are certain
that the buyer has filed the necessary Damage Report, and we are
certain that the Carrier is refunding to us. Of course we will assist
you in any way we can, but it is the BUYER’S RESPONSIBILITY to file
the Damage Report. In most cases, we will receive a direct
compensation (refund) from the Carrier if the claim is filed
properly, and then we will refund to the buyer. Lost Packages This is
very very rare. In this rare event, we have to wait 45 days before
we can officially file a claim with USPS. If the courier truly has a
lost package, we will file a claim and refund your payment as soon we
have the official word from USPS that the package is officially
declared "lost". We cannot refund until the package has
been officially declared LOST.
