With any professional racing career there is always a beginning. This is the point where you go from racing for the fun of it to racing as a profession. For Mark Donohue, forming a race team and becoming known throughout the racing circles would all begin with this car, the Shelby GT-350R. He campaigned this car in SCCA B-Production competition in late 1965, and early 1966. At the end of the '65 season, he painted it blue with white stripes (to differentiate himself from the Shelby team cars). As always, GMP collectibles has done a masterful job of capturing Mark Donohue's #29BP Ford Mustang Shelby GT-350R in 1/18th scale. This car features the Wimbledon white paint with the Guardsman blue Lemans stripes and black numbers and lettering. The detail on this car is just like every other GMP collectible; incredible. The doors, hood, and trunk all open to reveal the amazing detail of this car. Only 36 real GT-350Rs were ever produced making them some of the rarest cars in the world. And only 2,004 of these die-cast collectibles were produced making them almost as rare. Combine that with the fact that Mark Donohue was one of the best racers in the world (before his tragic death) and you have one outstanding collectible.WILL SHIP INTERNATIONALLY / WORLDWIDE! Item will be packaged carefully to avoid damage. I have been an active collector for over 12 years and I package items in the same manner in which I expect to receive them.
