The C12 was developed by IVM Automotive and was provided by a partnerfirm, Callaway Competition, located at Leingarten in the Swabian Region, Germany.
The C12 celebrated its premier in 1998 at the International Motor Show Geneva.
IVM
Automotive produced a small number of the C12 in three versions: as a
C12 coupe, a C12 convertible and the C12 Carbon with a body of colored
optical carbon.
At the International Automobile Exhibition 1999 in Frankfurt IVM Automotive was showing the C12 Art Car, special designed by Johannes P. G. Ortland, the artistic and cultural ambassador of the Christane Herzog Foundation for Persons suffering from Mucoviscidosis (Cystic Fibrosis).
