ferrari Testarossa NOS fusebox connector & tool 1985-91; #12285880 For Sale - New and Used

Offered is a New old stock Testarossa nylon connectors for the electrical box on 1985 and newer Ferrari Testarossa\'s , # 12285880. Additionally included is a removal tool for the metal connectors , and 4 spade clips soldered to heavy duty14 gauge wire that will attach to the circuit board.The Testarossa had problems in this area in which arcing at the connector would melt the circuit board and the connector. This is a fix I did on my own Testarossa in 1989 which made the car extremely reliable. How this is done: the high amperage wires at the (bad unreliable factory connectors) are removed and replaced by a spade connector which goes directly on the terminal and is a very tight fit (will not move so no arcing) The trick is to get spade terminals which fit the circuit board and will fit through the nylon connector. I am enclosing 4 of these (which by the way can be found at some electronic stores) soldered to heavy duty copper wire pig tails. The high amperage circuits are normally the air conditioner condensor fans etc. and are attached on the connector which is no longer available (#12285880). I only replaced 4 terminals on my car which totally corrected the inherent Ferrari problem. This modification gave me a very reliable car and I did not have to worry about melting my circuit board, (cost of around $1,000 at that time). This is a very easy modification which can be accomplished by any good mechanic. The nylon plug needs just a slight amount of material removed inside the connector where the spade will now fit shown in picture. In the pictures above one of them shows the wire I modified to attach to the wiring harness. The extra wire on it allows it to be positioned on the terminal spade before you plug in the rest of the connector.
