It starts the truck but definitely cranks slower than stock starter. Truck is pretty tired and needs that few extra RPM to start easily in the cold. I ended up installing a NOS Ford starter and starts easy now. Unfortunately this gear reduction starter was not good for my Ford. Also top bolt is impossible to remove or install without a 9/16 universal chrome socket whereas the stock style is easy to R&R with standard socket set and ratchet.
