Must have mod!
That's awesome mode for my SLK - no that is working as has to be from the factory. One push button for open/close the roof, onw push for open/close all windows (include these small), option to use original key for open/close roof and windows and any action on speed, e.g. if there is the rain suddenly, just push the button to close, no needs to look for parking and get wet. That's easy to maintain - we did that with my son in one hour, all connections via original plugs. That's awesome mode for my SLK - no that is working as has to be from the factory. Difficlut to install, but great once it's in properly.
The smartTop works great in in my vehicle, but boy--I had not idea you had to understand programming to be able to accurately install the device. So, if you don't have the patient--or the time, you will likely be better served having a professional install it. But, once it's in--it's really awesome and works flawlessly. I recommend.

This was easy to install and adds great features to the convertible top. I fell like the cost was a little high for the functionality but I guess that didn't bother me too much because I bought it anyway.

Installed it myself in under an hour!
Excellent design. Included wiring harness makes it almost foolproof. Just be careful when removing reinstalling the rollbar cover that you don't break-off the plastic push pin mounts on the underside of the roll bar cover. If they're broken, the roll bar cover could rise up higher than originally and cause the top's operation to stall as it will detect binding of the parcel shelf edge with the roll bar edge.Excellent design. A must-have for your convertible.
This module took about 2 hours to install, but it was well worth the price and the time. It's so darn nice to be able to lower the top with a couple of clicks of the key fob, from several yards away. It's nicer to be able to operate the roof at a stop light and not worry about the light turning green before you're finished. If the traffic light turns green you just go with the top in motion. I like the easy to use menu available right on my dash. And I like being able to put the rear windows up on my SLK.
