Known inferior part
While changing the front tire, I was manipulating the speedometer sending unit around its key in the fork and the tire slipped and the sending unit separated with a little more force than I had anticipated. I noticed that the 4 teeth were broken and researched to find that this was a common issue with my bike. On receiving the new part, I was extremely careful to grease and mate the part with the bearings and the new part broke one of the teeth. This is the fix
If you have a dead speedo, this is almost 100% of the time the fix. Took me 20 minutes. Note- you’ll need a 12mm Allen wrench to take the axel bolt off. Have fun!

Dropped it and broke a tooth. Right out of the package. So far 3 teeth seem to be doing the job. But for 30 dollars, which is kinda pricey for what it is.
