Big improvement
Installed perfectly in my 2002 Dodge Dakota 4.7, and solved my overheating while towing issue completely! Even when new the temp gauge would climb when towing up hills, seems the factory radiator wasn't big enough from day 1. This 3 row radiator made all the difference. One note, if you have the factory tow package be prepared to modify the transmission cooling lines... i just cut the originals and double clamped some fuel line to make it longer. Also the footpad on the drivers side needed to be cut thinner to make the bolts line up.. no biggie. FYI i switched to an electric fan some time back so not sure if it would bump the factory clutch fan. Great cooling for the money
The radiator was shipped in a good damage proof container. The weld quality looks good and no leaks so far. There were a couple of issues with mounting. The upper brackets were too long and too tall to let the radiator fit correctly. I had to cut and weld them after establishing the correct position. They did up grade the unit from a 3 row to a 4 row for no extra charge due to a defect they found at testing before shipping the original.The radiator was shipped in a good damage proof container.
