    Clips on the back of the light assembly do not fit the 2014 Ford Explorer mounting bracket

    Unfortunately the slide clips/brackets on the back of the fog lamp assembly do not fit the OEM mounting brackets for the 2014 Ford Explorer model. All of the bolt/screw holes line up but the flat slides do not line up or are the correct size.

    You get what you pay for

    While this fog lamp kit was successfully made to be functional, it certainly required some innovation to do so. The kit that I received did not include the required mounting brackets to mount them in the bumper(the brackets are not shown in the photos either). I had to used zip ties to secure them. The lamp housing are made from rather low grade plastic, so time will tell how long they actually last. The fog lamp switch did not fit into the OE housing without a bit of filing. Also, no wiring instructions are included so have a test light ready. I did apply RTV silicone to the back the lens retainers to help seal them from moisture. I also used clear plastic film on the lens' to protect them from pitting/sandblasting. This is somewhat overkill on an inexpensive fog lamp set but I'd like ...

    Quality issue

    So the install on a ford focus was super easy, my complaint is that they have been on the car about a week and and half and the lense has water inside it.
