My exp. installing these steps on an LX 470. They mount to body not frame. They mount to exact locations where OEM side steps were mounted. If you do not have original steps hardware, use the included hardware to mount brackets to vehicle, then purchase extra bolts to mount steps to brackets. Brackets are all different and install in an exact location. Loosely Install your brackets on one side first, then install step to bracket to ensure proper fit. But first install black plugs to steps.
