Quality Control Issue
It looks good in the box, but when installed the distributor was not even close to the zero degrees required by the factory. One tooth either way had the timing at 17 degrees or 34 degrees off from the required zero degrees. An immediate Check engine timing code P1345 came up. To make this distributor work, you either have to re-index the timing gear (expensive and chancy) or modify the clamp system to make the distributor index-able. A "re-learn" will not work when the distributor is this far off. I had to buy one locally to keep the project moving. The low price hooked me, the lack of quality failed me.It looks good in the box, but when installed the distributor was not even close to the zero degrees required by the factory.
