I bought these to replace my GM factory 4x10”s (yes I made a custom adapter from MDF) the sound they produce at only 35w RMS is excellent at any volume. They are well worth it

HI Guys, I probably purchased 40 or 50 sets of car speakers in search of "perfect", including high end component speaker sets from Polk Momos original version, newer version with neodymium magnets, the very high end French comps that escape memory, and these are the best sounding of all of them, a fraction of what the high end names cost. $10,000 Vandersteen theater speakers used midbass made of similar woven carbon fiber woofers, that are both extremely iight... producing up to 5,000 hZ effortlessly, but stiff enough to pump good bass. These are extremely detailed and clear without being tiresome. The crossovers have a three position switch -3dB 0 dB and +3 dB to tailor the high end to your tastes. I have this 5.25 inch pair in the rear of my Toyota HIghlander and a pair of the 6.5 inch in the front, which for me has plenty of bass. Some might find these bass light compared to Alpine SPS 610C, and if so, get yourself a sub. But do yourself a favor and try these. One warning: these need a 4.75 inch diameter mounting hole, the 6.5's a 5.75 inch mounting hole, which are larger than most standard mounting brackets. I made my own adapters. Best luck and give these a try. I cannot imagine why some uninformed person possibly rate these one star, the primary reason I jumped in here.Read full review
