Great replacement
Perfect replacement for the faulty door keypad on my 2013 Explorer. Not the easiest job to do as I pretty much had to break the old one out piece by piece, and then you have to take the door panel off to get to the hidden wiring connector. But overall satisfied as I can now lock my keys inside the car and just use the keypad. ALSO I don't know why the description says it fits "2011-2019 Escape" but I can guarantee you that is incorrect because it looks nothing like the keypads on my 2013 or 2018 Escape.Perfect replacement for the faulty door keypad on my 2013 Explorer. Easier than you think
I'm a novice at anything car related. But my Ford dealership wanted $600 to buy and install this product. I bought it here for considerable less and grabbed a $20 non marring tool set from Canadian tire. 2 hours of time is all it took me to remove the damaged pad trim, clean the post off and install the new one. It's plug and play, the plug is up inside the door panel, just inside and to the upper left of the plastic wrap stuff. The plugs snap into the holes on the door frame and the 3m tape secures it nicely. Save your money and buy this and install yourself. Works flawlessly. I'm a novice at anything car related. It was an original part, good quality. It will last a long time as long as people realize that it works off the heat on your finger. If you press on the numbers hard like my wife did it will damage it. I also think it is a little to expensive.
