Great for OLD tractor
I used this on my 1971 John Deere 401 Industrial loader tractor and fit and worked great. I really liked the description that said it was for a 5/8 wide belt since a lot of the older stuff had these, no trying to change the pulley. It took about 10 minutes to install. Dead useless generator replaced with modern technology!
Installed on my 1964 Jeep CJ5. It replaced the old style generator/regulator, which is unpredictable in charging. Now the battery gets charged properly, and the lights run brightly. Got tired of trying to make the generator work. Problem solved. This alternator was the perfect fit!
