Triumph TR2 thru TR3B factory hardtop backlight or rear Perspex window seal kit. This kit contains a very high quality US made real rubber seal and locking strip that actually performs as required unlike the offshore sourced seals offered by the usual suspects (at nearly 50 bucks a crack) With the variations in shape encountered by both original and aftermarket glass being fitted to floppy hardtops, the seals currently being offered (sample pictured on the right of the three photos below) are far too narrow and shallow to take up these variations. As a result it is nearly impossible to convince the window to stay put in the opening as it pulls out way too easily. The kit offered here allows the window to slide in easily after the seal is installed on the hardtop, with enough material to insure it stays put. Take a hard look at the comparison photos. The sample on the right is what is currently offered. The sample cutting on the left is what is contained in the kit. Below is also aphoto of a freshly restored TR3A with the backlight installed with this rubber. It looks great, blends right in without being overly large. This window was installed in under 15 minutes including clean up.The kit includes 120 inches or 10 feet of each of the seal and lock strip, just enough for one car. Seal dimensions are 1.0945 overall width and .7375 deep. The groove for the window is .3430 deep, and the HT flange groove is .4810 deep.Please note: Kits sold outside the US are shipped USPS 1st Class Mail International. This is the most cost effective way to ship to international destinations, but shipping in this manner does not provide tracking capabilities. Once the package leaves US Customs I have no control over the shipment and I am unable to provide buyers with tracking info. If you desire the ability to track the purchase it must be shipped using Priority Mail International at roughly an additional $20-25 dollars on top of the quoted shipping price for international destinations.
