Triumph 650 750 Handlebar TR6R T120R T150 1968-1970 PN# 97-1870 H1870
This handlebar is the correct fitment for the US-market Triumph Tiger, Bonneville and Trident models from 1968-1970, although it is commonly fitted to earlier and later unit-construction 500, 650, and 750 models.
The high quality reproduction 7/8″ “West Coast bend” handlebar from Emgo is chrome plated and is supplied pre-drilled for the 31563 high/low/horn switch, as originally fitted. Approximate measurements reveal a width of 32.5″, 6.5″ pullback, 4″ rise, 5″ center section, with 3″ between clamp knurls.
The rather wide handlebar features ample room for the switchgear and front brake master cylinder assembly, as fitted to the 1970s models. The bend of this handlebar has been long favored by both flat track racers and street riders.
The handlebar is mounted to the fork with eyebolts on the TR6R, T120R, and T150 models. Most TR6C, T100, and BSA models used a cast clamp for a direct mount to the top fork yoke. Attention must be paid to the length of the various cables, particularly when retrofitting the handlebar to a non-stock application.
Please note: Due to varying bans on the use of hexavalent chrome in the chroming process, this item will have varying appearance different than OEM standards. Chromers are frequently using trivalent in their processes. “It’s just not the same color. Hexavalent has that clear blue sheen, but trivalent is more grayish and smoky. Trivalent will not replace the look of hexavalent.”
