SpoilerKing #380R Rear Window Roof Spoiler (Fits: Honda Prelude 1997-2001):
$119.25

Our Spoilers are manufactured and shipped out of Brooklyn, NY.
When you buy from our store rest assure that you are buying an authentic SpoilerKing product. Our
products are NOT made in China or Taiwan. We take pride in the quality of our products so there will not be
any uneven cuts, gaps and angles. Just recently it has come to our attention that our competition started
calling their product similar names as our company name and paying more attention to details of their own
products. We\'ve been perfecting and making sure you get the best quality product from the beginning.
Don\'t be fooled by imitators! Why does SpoilerKing spoilers come unpainted?
All of ours spoilers are shipped out straight without the curvature of the window. Once received it only
takes a little warming up under the sun to curve easily around the curvature of the window. Average
temperature is approx. 80 under sun. This will allow the spoiler to have a arch of 4\" center to corner.
Now you\'re probably going to ask what all this has to do with PAINT? Well, it has a lot to do with paint.
You CAN NOT bend paint without getting ripples and waves. So if you receive a painted spoiler and
bend it to the curvature of the window it is 100% guaranteed that the paint is going have ripples
and waves. So that why we do not offer painted spoilers, but that doesn\'t mean you can not paint it.
READ BELOWCan Spoilerking spoilers be painted?
Of course it can! To paint a SpoilerKing spoiler we suggest all our customers to pre-fit the spoiler. So
basically warm up the spoiler under the sun and place it on top of the window (Without removing the
adhesive tape). Once the spoiler is flexible enough bend the spoiler to the curvature of the window and
use masking tape to hold it in place. Park the vehicle under a shade and let cool. Once cooled remove
masking tape. The spoiler is now the same shape as the window and ready for paint. Paint the spoiler
and remove the adhesive film and it is ready for install.
FYI: Since the spoiler was pre-formed to the window shape the paint will not need to bend or flex.
Which in the end will not have ripples or waves. What\'s the difference between ordering a spoiler by color code and by vin #?
Ordering a paint by color code is basically getting a standard color +/- 5% difference in shade or color
Variation. This is because when your vehicle was made the car manufacturer orders paint from different
sources. Sometimes this is done especially when 1 plant is on the east coast and 1 plant is on the west.
So to know exactly the formula it is always best to know where the vehicle and paint originated from.
That\'s why it\'s better to have your spoiler painted by vin #. Now why are we making so much fuss?
Who wants to spend $80 for a spoiler that doesn\'t match their vehicle? I would rather spend double that
and have the spoiler done right. I hate a eye sore. Especially a noticeable roof spoiler. 5% in color
variation can be spotted a mile away.
So here\'s the deal. Do not buy spoilers painted by color code only. Buy spoilers by vin #\'s. The Sad part to this is
that no one on sells these spoilers by vin #\'s. Get the job done at a local paint shop. They\'ll paint it right and
I bet they\'ll ask for a vin # not a paint code.
FYI: I have a local shop around me called MASTER auto body and supply. They sell aerosol flex paint for about
$12 - $16 for a 8oz can. Get your vin # ready because they will not sell it to you with out one. You can email me
for more info.
