Rare original M2A1 half track military ID and information plate badge emblem insignia nameplate from the iconic World War 2 armored vehicle. The White Truck Companydesigned this half track in 1940. They were built by White from 1940 to 1945 along with licensed versions built by Autocar and Diamond T. I do not know exact year, maker or application for this example. Typical military ID plate listing vehicle type, size, weight, operating height and \"fighting weight (less crew)\".5 3/8\" wide by 2 1/2\" high, heavy nonferrous metal with lightly acid etched surface and black painted infill, appears to have been nickel or bright zinc plated.No maker\'s mark visible.Fair used condition, a few light bends and creases, scratches, nicks and some white paint overspray. Surface is heavily worn and most original plating is gone. All lettering clear and readable, has been lightly clearcoated, clean useable mounting holes.
