VATS keys have 15 different resistor value options, you have to make sure you know what is your current key resistor value before you buy a new one, if you choose the wrong resistor value your engine will not start!. This key is resistor VALUE #15 (11800 Ohms) If your read any other ohm value than that please use the links we provide at the value table down here to find your correct key.

To test your key resistor value, set your ohmmeter on 20K Ohms, place your measure needles on the metal prong (small metal lines that are placed in the middle of the black resistor), one needle on each side, compare the value you get to the closest one on the chart below and you found your key!

If the value is not matching exactly to none of the values at the chart above clean the pellet and leads and try again if it\'s still different round it to the nearest number or contact us for help. If you try to use the wrong VATS key your engine will not start and your vehicle will lock ignition for 5 minutes.
