For sale is a BULLDOG TOUGH Remanufactured NP246 transfer case from THE GEAR SHOP! This unit fits GM trucks 2003-2007 with RPO code NP8. This unit comes with a new upgraded, heavy duty aluminum rear case installed to resolve the "pump rub" issue common to the 246. This unit has the splined shift selector where the encoder motor bolts up. There are two versions of this unit available (27 or 32 spline input). To make sure you are sent the correct version of this unit for your specific vehicle we will need to know the year, make, model, engine size, and transmission type of your vehicle. All units are remanufactured in house by our highly trained master builders to meet or exceed OEM standards and are tested for the highest level of function & quality before shipping. All remanufactured units are built BULLDOG TOUGH!!
Core transfer cases are sold on an exchange basis. In addition to the purchase price paid, we expect to receive a qualified core return and our original shipping container back in all sales unless other arrangements are agreed upon prior to purchase and notated as such on the invoice. You have 30 days from the invoice date to return a qualified core and the original shipping container to us. If we do not receive a qualified core and our original shipping container within 30 days, you will be expected to pay an additional missing core and container fee. THERE WILL BE NO WARRANTY ON THE NEW TRANSFER CASE UNTIL WE HAVE RECEIVED EITHER THE RETURN CORE AND ORIGINAL SHIPPING CONTAINER OR THE MISSING CORE AND CONTAINER FEE.
In most cases, we do not charge an up-front core deposit. Not being charged an up-front core deposit does NOT change the fact that all sales are made on an exchange basis and that we require a qualified core and the original shipping container to be sent back to us to constitute a completed transaction. Returning the qualified core and original shipping container to us will NOT result in any funds being returned to you if you were not charged a separate, up-front core deposit to begin with.
The core must be the exact model that was sent to you to qualify for core credit. Condition of the core is NOT a factor in receiving full core credit however the unit must be assembled and complete to qualify for full core credit. If you have any questions about your core condition and whether it will qualify for full core credit, call us at 4104774327 before ordering. A prepaid UPS return shipping label will be provided for you. The Gear Shop pays for the return shipping on the core when you use the prepaid UPS label that we If you send the return core and container back using any method other than the prepaid UPS ground shipping return label that we provide, we will not reimburse for any shipping charges that you incur.
All units come with an 18 month unlimited mileage parts only warranty against manufacturer defects. 36 month extended warranties are available. Please contact us for warranty details and limitations before to the lower 48 states will be sent via UPS ground freight FOB Baltimore. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii or International. Local pickup at our Baltimore facility is available with may be made within 14 days of order date. No returns will be accepted if the unit has been installed in the vehicle, altered, modified, or damaged in any way. Return price will not include original shipping and the customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping to us. A return authorization from The Gear Shop is required for any return to be accepted. A 20% restocking fee will be charged on all authorized problems can be at times difficult to diagnosis properly. It is very important that you are sure that your driveline issue is actually being caused by a transfer case failure and not some other failed component before ordering a reman unit.
