For sale is a very rare special edition book that was supplied to the owner when purchasing a Mercedes McLaren SLR.
The book comes with a certificate that states: \"This is a copy of the \"Owners Edition\" of the \"Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren\" book, an edition limited to 3,500 copies world wide. The Owners\' Edition is supplied with the vehicle and is therefore only available to Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren owners.\"
This book measures 9-5/8\" x 12-1/4\" with 177 pages and weighs 4 lbs. not including the presentation box. It was printed in Germany in 2004 on premium gloss coated paper with many pages featuring a chrome metallic finish on one side, adding an effect not seen in most books and one that photography doesn\'t capture well.
The cover art is created through a combination of matte and gloss varnishes, as is the presentation box.
The presentation box measures 14-1/2\" x 16-1/2\" x 2-1/4\" and weighs about 4-1/2 lbs. empty.
