NO REFUNDS/RETURNS. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Price is per side, with heavy discount if you need both. Or want to buy an extra pair as well. Unfortunately, discount for buying multiple does not apply if shipping is overseas.
Comes in 3 colors. Silver, black, or white.
If you buy 1, and don't specify a color or side, I'll assume LEFT (American driver side) in silver(like the main pictures show)
If you buy 2, and don't specify a color, I'll assume silver. I cannot provide beige. Color choices are silver or black.
Part comes with flap and 2 clips. GENERALLY, the parts will be held together with a thin amount of plastic. This helps in shipping, and can be torn away from the parts by hand, easily. Sometimes, it will come in the mail, separated.
This is a replacement roof flap for Mercedes SL R230. They break off and you can't just buy the flap from Mercedes.
These flaps are not a direct replacement, they are designed with new hinges which are attached to the original corner piece.
Instructions can be found here, but there are multiple ways you can install it.
Fabric not included. Spring not included. Pin not included. This is only the plastic flap and clips.
I inspect each piece for structural weaknesses before shipping them out, as well as watch them being made periodically, for the same purpose.
Install this at your own risk. THIS IS NOT OEM. This is a DIY project. I have had dozens of customers successfully install this, and be happy customers, with some repeat customers.
DO NOT LET YOUR CAR SIT IN THE SUN. These are made of thernoplastics that can buckle and warp in heat. You can find heat resistant coatings to mitigate this.
This fix DOES work. Because I do not know your individual DIY abilities, item is sold with a NO REFUND and NO RETURN policy as well as without a warranty.
You will have to procure the other parts necessary. All I do is make these, and send them out. If you don't have the pin, google cotter pins. You can find them as well as torsion springs, at Lowe's or Home Depot. Or McMaster Carr.
The machines these are made with are precise to a point. Same with the filament that it gets made with. Within 0.01-0.03mm, but there are tolerances. If the stock pin does not fit through the holes of the flaps, without excessive force, try heating up the end of the pin with a lighter for 3-8 seconds. The plastic these are made of is meant to heat up and expand. Do NOT hold the lighter to the flap/hinges. Apply to the pin and push it through the flap/hinges.
Every successful 3D Print that I make, out of the 125 products that I provide, takes me between 6 hours and 4 days to create, and I maintain 60-100 orders per month.
I maintain approximately 2400 hours of print time per month, over approximately 8 printers. If any print fails for any various reason, I have to stop, figure out why which can take an hour or so, start all over.
A 3D Print can go wrong, for a vast number of reasons. To use more than one printer, as anything more than an occasional hobby takes knowledge of multiple kinds.
It takes learning multiple programs, each with dozens of settings to tweak, and which have to be fine tuned to each printer.
Then maintenance of each printer takes a fair amount of computer/electronic repair knowledge, as well as mechanical.
There are about 10 different parts that can need replaced on a semi-regular basis, a week to 3 months, another 10 can need replaced between 3 and 9 months or a year.
Nozzles clog, screws and hotends strip, fans stop working, motors stop working, motherboards overheat, tube couplers strip out.
Sometimes, I may need to 3d-print other parts. I use 3d printed fan covers on all of my printers, because they provide better cooling for less weight.
If any part stops working and I don't have an extra, it may take me a couple days to get a new one before I can get a printer back up.
I currently pour well over 60 hours a week into what I do, and I'm constantly learning how to make new things, and learning how to make things better. All 3d-prints should match at least what is in the pictures, in quality.
I may be late on an order, for an uncountable amount of reasons, but every single person whose product I've sent out has received it.
If you need your order by a specific time, please tell me, preferably before you order, as sometimes I may be late on orders and I can't know if you don't tell me.
