For sale is a original re-chromed front left bumper guard (over-rider) for a 1954 - 1957 Mercedes Benz 300 SL Gullwing - W198 chassis. Please do your research regarding this particular fitment as this part is unique.
Please note the rear upper profile of this guard has a more pronounced square edge (See Photos). I have been told this is correct for early production Gullwing, however, I cannot find this documented. If you have information please share.This part has been re-plated several years ago and stored in a safe location. It is ready for installation. This part has been re-plated and the finish can be viewed within the photos provided.
*Note* The bottom edge has minor scraping that was not fully repaired prior to plating. This part also has minor shelf wear as is sold as is.
