INCLUDES:- 2 x distributor cap 1191580102- 2 x distributor rotor 1191580231- 2 x distributor dust shield seal (betweenthe cap and the dust shieldto prevent moisture and any fluid leak )
The Mercedes Benz M119 V8 engines from 1990 and up are well known for a deterioration of the engine performance caused by moisture and wearing of the ignition system, the replacement of the distributor cap and rotor is a must in order to avoid misfiring and poor performance.
IMPORTANT TECHNICAL NOTE:
- Mercedes Benz, many years ago, issued a bulletin upgrading the distributor rotor camshaft adapters where the ignition rotors are attached, the original factory adapter part # 1191580440 should be replaced by the new ones part# 1191580640 compatible to the new rotor design. The part number is stamped on the adapter for verification , chances are that they have been already upgraded on your car. .If you need them please let me know...
