This listing is for one headlight motor rebuild service for all 1988-2002 Lotus Esprit and 1990-1992 Lotus Elan, left or right side. If you need both left and right-side motors rebuilt, then you must select two (2) items. It is recommended that you have both sides rebuilt at the same time because if one motor has failed, the other is not far behind.
NOTE- There were 800 lotus Elan Series 2 (S2) produced in 1994-1995 (This may have been Kia). The motors are likely the same, but you should contact me to confirm the part number on the motor before ordering.

You have 2 options to handle the core exchange for this item:
OPTION # 1CORE EXCHANGE
Send in your core motor(s) to be rebuilt/remanufactured.Ship to: Stanley Miller, 56020 Farmington Drive, Middlebury, IN 46540. You will also receive a message after your purchase with instructions. This option does not require a core charge.
OPTION #2 REFUNDABLE CORE CHARGE DEPOSIT (message us for availability)
With this option you will receive an already rebuilt motor or motors (left and right if you purchase two).This option requires an additional $75 per motor refundable core charge deposit billed separately. The core charge is fully refundable if you return your rebuildable core motor after replacing it with the reman motor. Send us a message through messages with your email address to send the core charge invoice. I am no longer able to include the core charge in the purchase price due to issues with taxes and fees. The core charge is the only way to assure a constant supply of rebuildable motors for our friends in the Lotus community and also keeps them out of our landfills.
If you prefer to have your motors rebuilt with a heavy-duty CNC machined aluminum gear and Delrin bushings that will NEVER fail like original plastic gear, then please visit my store or see my other listing which has the gear upgrade included. You cannot purchase a motor with this upgrade anywhere else but here!
All headlight motors are completely disassembled, cleaned, and fully rebuilt to OEM specifications. The housing components are bead blasted and repainted with two coats of semi-gloss black paint when necessary. The bushings inside the gear are replaced with indestructibleDelrin bushingsthat will NEVER fail like the originals.All motors are fully tested before shipment.

This listing has a ten-dayhandling time to allow for customers to send in cores. If you use option #2 your order will usually ship within 3 business days after the deposit is paid.
