This is a marine quality female lockingsocket intended for outdoor mobile use in extreme weather and harsh applications. The socket is marine grade and is waterproof and UV resistant. The contacts are nickel plated brass and the socket body is heavy nylon. The socket is self bailing and will keep the interior dry in case of moisture intrusion. The socket is vibration resistant because it is a locking socket. The socket contains a deep vinyl opening cap. The socket is rated for 15 amps at 12 volts. Draws no power when not in use, so it can\'t run down your battery.

Both sockets require an 1 1/8\" hole for mounting and has .250 quick spade type male connectors. It can be mounted against a panel with the retaining nut on panels up to 1-1/4\" thick. For a thicker panel use a compression plate which keeps the socket in place from the front on a panel of any thickness. See options below.
