The old tires had sat on a car lot for several months and I believe there were flat spots that never worked themselves out. Tires were like new, so I hated to get rid of them. The new tires are much quieter and smother ride. They\'re not Michelins but seem to be worth the price. I would probably buy them again if the wear holds up. Only time will tell.
Review from June 2, 2016Rating: 7.5Bought thesetires the same time I installed eibach springs and Koni yellow struts/shocks onmy saab. Once inflated to the proper pressure (42psi), I have found these tiresto provide tremendous value. They were around 85$ a corner shipped balanced andinstalled. I just crossed the country on I-10 averaging 80mph and noticed no road noise from tires, great response, and when the skies opened up in Texas and there was 1.5" of water on the freeway I had no problem cruising along at 65mph.I did notice a limit of resistance right around 70mph, at which point it felt like the car could hydroplane... I like these tires so much I\'m buying them for my project car as well.
Review from May 6, 2016Rating: 9.75Purchased the car with 1/2 way worn michelins. my first thought was to bring my car into a stereo shop to install sound deadening, since the road noise was higher than i was used to for a hybrid car(just drove 800 miles in a brand new prius a few days prior). The sound proofing would have set me back $800, i chose to spend that money on a set of new tires instead. All i can say is, money well spent.Road noise decreased dramatically, handeling improved (off ramp butt dynometer tested LOL), and ride comfort was better!These tires hit a great price point with a good balance of performance, and comfort.I must note, my car came with 215/45/17 and i move to a slightly wider 225/45/17 for the tiny 10mm edge on performance.
