IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS:This is how to remove and determine if you have a screw on or push on knob
Build Dates on shift knob styles are 3/18/07 and earlier for screw on .3/19/07 and later were push on.
We have seen some discrepancies in the shift knob mounting styledue to manufacturing inconsistencies. So you might
have an earlieror later model that will be a screw on-off or a push/pull on-off.
So we have included instructions so you can tell for sure. Read theInstructions below carefully to determine which one
you have beforeordering.
There’s a chrome ring at the bottom of the factory shift knob. Usea metal or plastictool to pry in between the leather
and plastic ring.Gently pry your way around this ring until it comes loose and slides off.
Check for a set screw also once you pop the chrome ring off the shiftknob. The knob will either screw off or pull off.
Always remember Lefty Loosey and Righty Tightyor Push Pull to remove your shift knob.
Pull on it firmly and if it doesn\'t come off you will need to starttwisting. It is simple as that to see which knob you have.
So you get yournew knob ordered and installed in no time.
