Perhaps this best describes this 1972 Ferrari Daytona, 365 GTB/4, Spare Parts manual. This is one of the manuals that you would have found in your original owners pouch set back a half century ago. These are wonderful pieces and a fantastic guide for the owners. Over the years Ferrari used essentially the same Spare Parts manual updating it along the way as the car evolved from 1968-1974.
What we have here is a survivor piece, a definitive “garage find”. There’s a respect to be found in it’s hard earned, raw patina. Nothing pretty here, this manual was extensively used in the garage. On every page , for 50 years, this manual earned its keep one repair, one service at a time. If shaking a dirty mechanics hand for a job well done is something you’re used to then this manual might be for you. She’s tough, it’s all there, there’s fingerprints on every page, a few notes written in her along the way. The lower rivet isn’t riveting too well anymore. There’s a ton a beautiful history in this piece, you can feel it, see it in every page. We need to get it back in the Ferrari world, she needs an easier retirement plan for the next 50 years. Would make a fantastic spare, no pun intended. Please carefully review the photographs, twice, for condition issues and descriptions before purchasing.
