Here is a set of 3D Printed (4 total, 2 left, 2 right) Replacement Convertible Top Flap Hinges for the \'03 - \'09 model year SL500, SL350, SL55, SL600, and SL65. There were some different style hinges over the years so we are including BOTH styles for the one price.
This is a replacement hinge for the Mercedes Benz SL500 (2004-2009) convertible top cover flap. Also called an interior quarter-panel trim for convertible top. Part number 23069009417F08.
This part was modeled to be epoxied or glued into place with simple modification of the existing cover.
1) Remove the cover from the vehicle by removing the silver bolt under the cover and the torx screw under the main roof cover flap. (top must be in the 50/50 up position to find the torx screw.)2) Using a sanding disc, or Dremel tool with a sanding disc, remove the existing broken plastic hinge components. Sand the cover so the newly printed part can lie flat on the underside of the cover.3) Epoxy the new part in place and let dry before replacing cover on the car.*HINGES ONLY* this does not include the flap assembly. These are made from ABS which is a choice automotive-grade Composite Plastic that has an extremely high melting point (392 degrees F) so it will stand up to those scorching summer days
