MSportParts is proud to offer replica gurney flaps for those E36 enthusiasts running OEM and Replica Motorsport wings. Wings include, but are not limited to; M3 GT, GT2, Clubsport, 318is/4, PTG and LTW. BMW designed 3 different sized gurney flaps to run on these various wings. The original BMW wickerbills have been out of production for many years, but now you have an affordable option designed off the original!
These \"fat version\" gurney flaps are a production miscommunication resulting in a larger, yet fully functional product. If you are interested in gurney flaps that are OEM size, there is a new die being made to make a production run. There is no current ETA on this.
Production of these gurney flaps is done entirely here in Fresno, CA. These are made from extruded black PVC, hand cut to length with hand finished edges. The PVC used is flexible (like OEM), holds perfect form, and is rated to last decades out in the sun.
This listing includes (one) 110cm - Bottom Gurney Flap - Straight Cut Edges
Each gurney flap comes with 5ft of 3M double sided body mounting tape (tape will be high bond 3M but may vary from the picture).
Installation is straight forward. You have 3 sides to the gurney flap to chose from. Each offers a different angle of attack to reshape the edge of your wing. Clean your wing, and the wickerbill with glass cleaner. Measure, mark the wing and the wickerbill at the center with some painters tape. Install the double sided tape to the wickerbill first and press it firmly the full length. Line up the wickerbill how you want it on your wing, being careful to ensure it installs straight and consistent the whole length. Once desired installation is met, firmly massage the wickerbill into the wing to fully secure the tape.
