Designed and made this gas cap holder that fits 2nd Gen SVT Lightnings and possibly other F-150\'s. Got sick of sitting my gas cap on the bed step or have it dangle and hit the paint so I made a little holder for it that slides right into the gap in the cover and the gas cap clicks in place. Thanks for looking.
You will have to remove the gas cap from the lanyard using a flathead screwdriver, but this can be reattached again in the future if you really want it connected to the lanyard. I removed my gas cap from the lanyard 20 years ago and bought a locking cap. I would prefer the gas cap falling to the ground than swinging down and hitting the side of my car if I fumbled it...
