OVERVIEW
The Accelera Omikron C/T is an all terrain, all season tire manufactured for light trucks.
The tire improves the all terrain traction. The aggressive tread design with the staggered tread blocks and the high void ratio in order to upgrade the on- and off-road terrain grip. These tread elements greatly improve the soft, loose and uneven terrain performance, optimizing the forward motion at all times. The tread design also keeps the footprint clean, by eliminating mud, snow and rocks stuck between the tread elements. This avoids stone retention from harming the casing, while mud and snow cannot block the surface contact while the tires are in motion. This combination significantly boosts the versatile terrain performance.
The stabilized tread elements greatly enhance the controllability. These tread elements upgrade the surface contact during the drive, which improves the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. The road and terrain surface contact upgrades the steering response time and accuracy to the driver\'s commands, while the structure is secured against the driving pressure affecting the tire. These tread elements allow the tire to ensure the driver\'s constant control over the vehicle at all times.
The all season compound and the detailed block pattern improves the year round traction. The durable compound elements and the optimized tread design boost the dry, wet and winter weather grip. The stronger compound maintains the rubber flexibility in versatile temperatures, enhancing the summer and winter weather performance. The siping pattern and the staggered block pattern provide additional biting edges in order to grip the road and terrain surface throughout the year. During the tire\'s on-road surface, the groove pattern disperses water and slush from the footprint, effectively avoiding hydroplaning in wet weather situations.
The flat footprint and the stronger compound manage to increase the tread life. The stability of the footprint and the tread elements allows the tire to evenly circulate the driving pressure across the tread area. The balanced pressure distribution avoids irregular wear formations along the footprint. On the other hand, the durable compound elements optimize the rubber flexibility, greatly minimizing the overall treadwear rate. The slower and even wear significantly upgrades the service life.
The Omikron C/T ensures high driving comfort levels at all times. The model is able to reduce the road noise and vibrations during its on-road performance. The close surface contact allows the tire to absorb the shock of driving, decreasing the road vibrations felt by the passengers.
