Hello,this sale is for a new unused GM forged steel crankshaft for bigblock Chevy engines. It is standard size on both the rod and mainjournals. This crankshaft will fit all 366-427 engines both tall andlow deck blocks. The stroke on the crankshaft is 3.76 and it is internally balanced. If used in a 454 block this will yield 427cid. Forgingnumber on these crankshafts is 3856223 and they have been ion nitrated.The nitrating process was done to factory high performance and heavytruck cranks. This process makes the surface about twice as hard as untreated forged steel. These are brand new first quality crankshafts. GMdiscounted the 2 piece seal 427 crankshafts in 1995, They sold theirremaining inventory of 4500 crankshafts to Competition Products. In 1998 I bought the remaining 4000 crankshafts form them, still on the original GM pallets. These came directly from the Tolawanda engine plant. Theywere never in individual boxes because these were balanced crankshaftsready to be installed in engines, not service replacement parts. If you look in the pictures you can see the GM moisture absorbent paper on the wood blocks separating the crankshafts. Theseare realNOS GM 6223 CRANKS!!!!!!Thanks for looking and happy offerding!
