We also use a full forged flat toppiston made for us to allow you maximum valve to piston clearance on almost any cylinder head you might havewhile allowing it to be a pump gas friendly build or we can also do a race gas highercompression version if needed as well as a lower compression ration for boost or nos. The machine work on the block includes;a complete cleaning and surface inspection of our blocks whichstarts by: being burnt and blasted in our cleaning system, thenthey all get squared up by our BHJ fixtures which gives youa truly squared updeck surface after we mill them (a plus for holding a head gasket tight under high stressapplications) and thenthey move on down the line to having their lifter bores gauged and honedwith our Sunnen lifter bore honing tools (so that you won’t have to worry about lifters galling ora tight lifter that doesn’t fit right during your build and cause you greatfrustration) Then off to being line honedin our Sunnen line hone machine. From there they get bored .040 over in our CNCRotler Boring Machine where we also maintain machine work squarenessfor more added HP and lower friction. Now they will be trial assembled andClarenced for the 4340steelcrank 28ozstroker kit. Next theywill go into our CV-616 hone machine where of course all of them get a set of honingplates put on them. (We have also seen a gain on the engine Dynoof at least 30-40hp, just from being honed with the honing plates vs. a 351wford block .040 over with just a plain Jane hone job.) This shortblock comes assembled with a set of .040 over real ForgedSRP/JE/Mahle/Wiseco/Trickflow pistons(Compression Ratios-Flat-top or Dish: (rangefrom 8:3-13:1 depending on your needs) with one of those head combos orwith Cometic head gaskets you willget you 8:3-13 to 1 compression (we can figure out what head gasket will get you what you need) and if you wanted to add Boost or NOSthen this is truly your short block. We also have included a set of ARPmain bolts at no extra charge. The piston rings are file fitplasma moly and the rod and main bearings are Clev 77large radius racing bearings along with brass freeze plugs and aset of Dura bond cam bearings which are installed in the block.(They are checked for proper fit and alignment before they leave so you don’tneed to worry about your cam not fitting upon arrival.) The crank is anew Eagle 4340 crank 0oz balance with a 4.170 in stroke, the rods are a6.200 floated style 4340 Scat SIR style rods with ARP bolts. We havebalancers and flywheels if need for an additional charge, please let us know.Now we offer this short block in your choice of colors which arewide ranging (just let us know when you buy it) and we also offera photo album build up of digital pictures of your engine, so youcan feel like you’re in the room as we machine it and build it to fit yourneeds. In addition, our long blocks shipwitha steel engine cradle and the proper oil pan, timing cover and harmonic balancer for easy of install.We can also add a flywheel / flex plate and more such as intakes valve covers etc. if needed to the build for the cost of the parts only and there’s no labor for balancing them.We even offerfreelaboron installing your old parts to finish the build if you mail them to use. (Intake, cam, valve covers etc.) (if there’s extra machining or extensive cleaning of the used parts there will be extra but you will be provided a cost first) please ask.
·We offer shipping worldwidebut at an additional price as shipping styles can vary from country to country. Also when shipping to most US states(Alaska, Hawaii, and more states are extra..please check 1st)and going to a place of business or to a local trucking terminal near you, there is a flat shipping feesare a flat fee of $250 dollars on short blocks (if you have any doubt on shipping charges please ask before buying) If you need an international quote, please do the same in advance of purchasing.Home delivery is extraover the std $250, but we only charge the difference above what is paid in the first $250.Please askbefore buying if residential is needed. Any noncommercial location is also extra for shipping such as a home base business or even a farm. Shipping on long blocks isfree to a terminal or place of business near youbut again anynoncommercial location is extra for shippingto such as a home base business or even a farm.
·Cancellations on already in progress builds will carry a 10% restocking fee. Most times this can be avoided but some times were just too far along in the build.
·On receiving shipment and taking possession from the shipping carrier:I can’t stress enoughthat it needs to beun wrapped and inspected before signing for.The carrier will not cover any damagesand you will have to pay for repairsif missed upon arrival. We insure everythingwe shipat twice its value, but the carrier will not pay a dime if signed for and damages are then found later after the carrier leaves.(although its rare... damages can occur during shipping so we like to be upfront on purchases)
·Due to shipping rules,engines are drained after primingand require filling before installation. There isn’t always aharmonic balancer boltinstalled but your old one will be the same so please just double check before installing in your ride.

(parts are priced at Summit/Jegs prices to keep it fair) If you already have cylinder heads or want to buy a set and then send them to us we will alsocheck VP and push rod length to unsure the correct valve train geometry too.We willoffer all of that with the buy it nowand the labor for installation of your heads and valve train as well as cam and lifters is100% labor free.Just send them to us with the parts needed to bolt them on or we can assist you if you like andwe can also pickup whatever else is needed to finish off the build. Any extra parts can be paid before shipping.(if the heads or parts are not ready to bolt on or need springs, valve seals or a resurface and or a heavy cleaning then that is extra, please ask first)
