Yes. Some brands use underbody straps or drawstrings to lock down car covers to vehicles. These are not recommended to secure any car cover. Straps and drawstrings touch the lower fenders of the vehicle and can haze the paint's clear coat overtime as the cover blows in the wind. Most straps are made of a rigid nylon material that even if cut off and removed, the bases cannot be cutoff and can wear on your paint. We use grommets lined with the same inside lining material as the car cover that sits between the grommet and the vehicle's paint. The grommets never touch the vehicle's paint.
Yes. Our car cover is designed with specific sizes in mind and is not categorized as a fully custom cover. A fully custom cover is a cover that will come from the vehicle manufacturer and will show every curve, countour, and bend of the vehicle.
