1999 Jaguar XJR 4.0 Supercharged Engine, Transmission, and MORE Swap Eaton M112 :
$1499.00

PLEASE SEE VIDEOS OF THIS ENGINE RUNNING PRIOR TO REMOVAL HEREUp for sale is a mostly complete swap from a 1999 Jaguar XJR with approximately 180k miles. Engine is the XJR 4.0 DOHC with Eaton M112 supercharger and is complete from intake tube (not pictured) to oil pan, and transmission is Mercedes-Benz 5G-Tronic W5A580. Engine/transmission wiring harness, all engine sensors, all belt-driven accessories, starter, radiator, fans, intercooler, transmission crossmember, and engine and transmission computers are all included. Also included is the engine cradle, front suspension and brakes, which I\'m including for free because I can\'t vouch that everything as far as the front suspension and brakes are in perfect working condition. There seems to be a possible issue with the left front spring assembly as a previous owner seems to have tried to rig up a makeshift spring spacer in that spring. When driving this car prior to removing the engine/trans, the front end did seem out of alignment and pulled hard to one side, so this may all be part of an underlying issue with the suspension. Otherwise, the engine and transmission worked fine with no issues I could tell (see videos of this engine running prior to removal here). The only thing I noticed is the M112 supercharger tended to sometimes make noise at idle, coming from the pulley itself. I would recommend a snout rebuild kit for this reason (just the snout- I have seen nothing that indicates the supercharger needs to be rebuilt). Also, because this is a Jaguar engine, I would recommend going ahead and replacing the timing chain(s) and tensioners, just as preventative maintenance. I have no reason to believe these are going to fail anytime soon, but if it were me, I\'d like the peace of mind of knowing this has been done. Obviously, a tune-up and fresh fluids are also recommended. The plastic intake tube (not pictured) has some damage near where it connects to the throttle body, and I would recommend a replacement of that as well. Driveshaft is pictured, but not included. Also, the A/C in this car blew ICE COLD, so everything should be good as far as that is concerned too. I believe all other belt-driven accessories to be good at the time the engine was removed (3/30/16). Hoses, lines, and vacuum tubes were cut during removal. All wiring was unplugged, NOT cut. I think I noticed that the wiring for the electric fans may have been slightly damaged during removal, but this should be easily fixed. If you want some wiring pigtails from where the wiring harnesses plug into the car, let me know and I can most likely cut some of those for you (and will include them free with purchase, as long as they are still available), in case you\'re doing a custom installation. Overall, this is a very nice swap, whether it be for another Jaguar (upgrade your XJ8/XJ6/XK8/XJS/S-Type/etc) or a hot rod/custom application. Compare with other prices of less complete swaps (engines only, for example) on E-Bay. You could part out this swap and make money on it if you wanted to. Obviously, as is, this is a heavy unit, so to load this up, we may have to separate some of the pieces. Buyer is responsible for that. If we take the engine/trans assembly off the front subframe, that would probably be the best option (Of course, as I said, the subframe is included, so if we separate the subframe from the rest and you can\'t take it all in one trip, you can return for the subframe; I just wanted to clarify that). Without the subframe attached, the engine/trans *should* fit in the bed of a full-size pickup, I believe. Otherwise, you probably need to bring a trailer. Free local pickup. If you\'re not local or simply don\'t have a truck/trailer to pick this assembly up, I may have a shipper who will be willing to pallet/crate the assembly and bring it to you at a reasonable cost, as long as you have a way to unload everything at your delivery location, but please ask for a quote prior to purchase to avoid any miscommunications. Cash upon pickup preferred, but PayPal also accepted. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Thanks.
