This pair of latches is a beautiful reproduction of the original, it is powder coated black and is completeall the way to thehook and is ready to bolt on to your car. We include a new handle spring and even new plastic bushings to replace the worn original pieces, no reason to install a new latch and use the old worn bushings! Also on the original latches the J-hook on the end is adjusted by loosening a tiny set screw, the problem is that about 5 minutes after the car left the dealership the tiny set screw is corroded so tight it will never move.The set screw iseliminated and now thethreadson the J-hook are coatedwith a vibration resistant coating, now adjusting the J-hook is simple and the special coating makes sure the hook stays in the position you put it in.
