Original 1938 Phantom Corsair Brochure. Now housed at the National Automobile Museum in Reno, NV.This large[11" X 15"] Brochure is for a prototype car that never did make it into production. The Phantom Corsair (aka The Flying Wombat). Built in headlights, luxury compartment, spring steel bumpers, no door handles, no muffler, all-wave radio, four abreast seating. The Phantom Corsair is a distinguished individualized design from the studio of Rust Heinz. It is typical of many automotive and marine advancements which Mr. Heinz developed for passenger and commercial uses. Refreshing in their simplicity, these creations are marked by a distinctive, sweeping grace and combine striking modern beauty with highly functional construction. The varied talents of Rust Heinz were available to individuals and corporations for the solution of problems involving original creative design. The aerodynamic body of the Phantom Corsair was patented in its entirety. This 4 page Handout is in good condition for its age with minor wear, soiling and blemishing [see photos]. It is creased across the middle from being folded. Very rare and cool piece of history that will be a great addition to any Collection.
