***Beware of poorly made copies flooding that appear similar but are the incorrect size and don\'t fit***
Mine are made in Canada and ship from Canada.
They are guaranteed to fit your first gen 2003 to 2009 Ski-Doo Rev snowmobile correctly, and accurately unlike the poorly made copies you\'ll find on here and Amazon that ship from China or from Kentucky (they\'ve sent their incorrectly sized parts to have US stock now so you don\'t have to wait as long to bedisappointed with a garbagepart that doesn\'t fit anyway). I have 12 years (and counting) experience with the first gen Rev chassis and have sold hundreds of these over the years with not one occurrenceof the spacer not fitting. I can also answer any questions you have about floating the secondary.
If it\'s an image of a spacer with a white background in the listing and no pictures of it installed on a snowmobile like in this listing, they are poorly made copies of these and are nowhere near the correct size and you\'d be wasting your money. Look through the negative response those accounts have from other listings and read them, notice how they\'re about parts that don\'t fit? This is because they buy and/or copy other peoples parts/descriptions etc. to sell on and Amazon etc. without ever verifying proper fitment, they\'ve likely never seen a real snowmobile to begin with, their descriptions mention car and motorcycle.
What does floating the secondary do?
The spacer allows you to float your secondary clutch on your first gen 2003 to 2009 Ski-Doo Rev. It allows the secondary clutch to slide back and forth on the jack shaft to align better with the primary clutch while the engine torques and moves. From the factory, the secondary clutch is in a fixed position. People have been floating them since 2003.
What are the benefits?
- Reduced heat in clutches from less friction
- Reduced belt wear
- Reduced clutch wear
- Reduced amount of belt dust for the engine to ingest
- Improved belt life
- $$$ savings from longer lasting expensive belts
- excellent for sleds with tweaked bulkheads (that throw out clutch alignment)
How hard is it to install?
Simple install with detailed instructions included, no pullers needed, does not fit Team secondary (see my other listings for that application). Will fit all other 03 to 09 style first gen Rev secondaries. (will not fit XP chassis)Ask any questions, and I can help you to determine if this is the right part for your snowmobile.
