Alpina B7 Supercharger COMPLETE Rebuild Kit
If you are experiencing excessive supercharger pulley noise, wobbling or screeching - you most likely need to replace your pulley/clutch bearings. Alpina recommends clutch bearing replacement every 60,000 miles (100,000 km).
The impeller shaft bearings are a critical component for ensuring smooth rotation of the impeller up to 90,000 RPM. Worn bearings can cause the impeller to vibrate or wobble leading to impeller contacting the supercharger housing and causing the blades to crack or wear out due to abrasion. It is critical to service and replace the impeller shaft bearings especially if the vehicle has over 60,000 miles (100,000 km).
